A sacred place for all
Belgium is home to a thriving Hindu community of around 25,000 people, with deep roots stretching back to the 19th-century Indian diamond traders of Antwerp and the Indian soldiers who fought to defend Ypres in 1914. Yet today, our community has no purpose-built temple anywhere in the country. Hindu Temple Belgium VZW is the registered Belgian non-profit set up to change that, together, with the support of our families, our neighbours, and the commune that will host us.
